Contamination Monitor LB122
The basic version with the beta-gamma
detector is designed for the measurement of contaminations on surfaces
and objects in the medical radionuclide laboratories. The Xenon filled
sealed large area proportional counter is especially sensitive to beta-
and photon emitting radionuclides. Calibration factors for many nuclides
among of them C-14, Na-22, P-32, P-33, S-35, Cr-51, Co-57, Fe-59, Co-60,
Sr-85, Sr-90, Tc-99m, I-123, I-125, I-131, Cs-137, Tl-201, Tl-204 and
Am-241 are internally stored. After selection of the radionuclide by the
user the LB122 measures surface contaminations and displays them in Bq/cm².

 | The version with the butane
filled large area proportional counter is capable of alpha-
and beta-detection and well suited for applications with
alpha-emitters for instance in nuclear industry. Detection
limits of both versions are sufficiently low to detect
contamination levels according to radiation protection
regulatory requirements within short times. In combination
with wall bracket and counting gas supply unit the portable
monitor LB122 becomes a semi-stationary instrument for
monitoring personal contamination at exits of controlled
areas. |

Radiation Protection
Monitor LB123
The LB123 is not just one instrument, but
is a complete system of radiation protection instrumentation. It covers
measurement of surface contamination, gamma doserate, neutron doserate
and activity. A variety of different contamination detectors enables the
measurement of alpha/beta-emitters, beta/gamma-emitters and even of
tritium.
The LB123 consists of a battery driven
datalogger unit, where one of seven available radiation detectors could
be connected. High voltage-supplies, preamplifiers and discriminators
are integrated in the probes, which are identified automatically by the
system. Operation of the LB123 is very simple simple. The µ-controller
program provides many useful functions and utilities like for instance
background measurement with automatic subtraction, scaler-timer-mode,
autorepetitive mode, dose-integration, plateau-measurement, storage of
up to 250 measured values, datatransfer to printer or host via
optical/RS232 port.
