CLASS II
MICROBIOLOGICAL SAFETY CABINET CLASS II (Type A) WITH MICROPROCESSOR CONTROL AND DUAL EXAUST HEPA FILTER - Certified BS 5726 (1992)
Class II microbiological safety cabinet for handling low to moderate risk-hazarded agents; personnel protection, product protection and ambient safety from exposure to biological agents.
|
MAIN SPECIFICATIONS |
|
The AURA 2000 BS is a Class II Microbiological Safety Cabinet Type A. 70% of the HEPA filtered air is therefore recirculated with the remaining 30% being expelled through two online dedicated exhaust HEPA filters as recommended by BS 5726 for recirculating cabinets. (No ducting required). The cabinet is used to reduce the exposure of both product and personnel to airbone biological agents. The AURA 2000 B.S. has a new, microprocessore based airflow control system. A microprocessor provides automatic control of the airflow throughout the whole usable life of the HEPA filters.
The microprocessor based module contains the alarm system which warns the operator when recirculated and exhaust airflow deviate from the fixed operation range and when the front window is not firmly closed. The soft-touch keyboard together with the alphanumeric display, bargraphs and pilot lamps give the operators a full control and monitoring of all functions. Laminar flow and face velocities are permanently displayed while the UV lamp, cabinet conditions, filters, run hours and blackout events are displayed by touching the multifunction keys.
The microprocessor module also controls tha lights, electrical power outlet, gas solenoid valve and 24 hours clock with UV timer function.
All of the contaminated plenum inside the cabinet is surrounded by a negative pressure to prevent contaminated air leaks as required by the latest international standard. |
Removable work surface. Microprocessor based control. Electrical equipment according to IEC 1010-International Standards and EMC directives.
Alarm for ventilation failure. Automatic control of the fan speed. Stainless steel grade 3 work chamber. Conformity to CE machine directives |

|
|
|
Double fan, electronic controlled Biosafety Cabinet Class II type A/B3 convertible for highest operator and environmental protection, with a total product protection
The double fan configuration ensures added safety in case of emergencies. Manufactured in compliance with the main European standards |
MAIN SPECIFICATIONS |
|
BIOAIR Class II biosafety cabinets AURA B are designed to fully comply with the main European standards (BS5726, DIN 12950 Teil 10). Based on the 2 fan configuration - that BIOAIR developed over 20 years ago - in their standard configuration these cabinets are Class II type A and can be converted into Type B3, by ducting outside the laboratory. In Type A configuration a secondary exhaust HEPA can be retrofitted, in order to allow recirculation in the laboratory, as prescribed by BS5726.
Operating mode: in Type A configuration, the air leaving the Main HEPA filter at a constant speed produces a laminar downflow Class 100 environment. An air barrier enters through the front opening and is mixed with the downflown air underneath the work surface. 70 % of the air is recirculated, 30 % is exhausted through the exhaust HEPA. In type B configuration the operating principle is the same, but the unit is ducted to the outside of the laboratory and the front barrier speed is increased to 0.5 m/sec.
Monitoring and Control system: AURA B Biosafety Class II cabinets are equipped with a new electronic control system. A soft-touch keyboard and a bar-graph monitor both the barrier and downflow air speed ensuring the safest operating conditions at all times.
An elapsed-time meter audible and visible alarms allow the user to control filter life and immediately detect any problem linked with air flow.
In compliance with BS5726 1992, DIN12950 Teil 10, IEC 66.5 ΠDual skin configuration (negative pressure contaminated air plenums surrounding the work chamber) for the highest safety. Perforated removable work surface and inner chamber in grade SS 304. Grade 3 stainless steel sump for the easiest cleanability 2-fans configuration. |

ULTRASAFE
Class II Microbiological Safety Cabinet (MSC)
Microprocessor controlled with single or double fan
FOREWORD
Faster UltraSafe Microbiological Safety Cabinets belong to the latest generation of laminar airflow systems manufactured by Faster, in which the choice of materials of construction of the highest quality guarantees conformity to the strictest safety standards. Faster UltraSafe vertical laminar flow cabinets are Class II Microbiological Safety Cabinets - designed and built to performance requirements of the EN-12469:2000 European Standard, with 70% of the air re-circulated via the main Class H14 HEPA filter within the cabinet, whilst the remaining 30% is discharged through an exhaust Class H14 HEPA filter.
APPLICATIONS
Faster UltraSafe Class II Microbiological Safety Cabinets have been adopted worldwide in use for product, personnel and environmental protection while handling harmful agents pathogenic to human beings and/or animals as defined in the appropriate international standards, in a wide range of disciplines in applications such as: Microbiology, Virology, Haematology, Cell culture, Genetics, Handling of hazardous agents to human beings or animals
BENEFITS
Ergonomic Design. The angled sloping front safety-glass sash provides optimum visibility of all objects placed in the interior workspace. The sash is electrically operated. Pressing the appropriate touch-sensitive keys will completely open or completely close down the sash.
The standard sash-height opening during work is set to 250 mm. Alternative sash-height settings by the factory are possible upon request. The whole front of the safety cabinet – which includes the sash mechanism – can also be opened upwards as it is hinged on the top – in order to allow easy access for complete and effective cleaning and decontamination.
Inflatable gasketing is also available as an option to provide effective sealing of the internal workspace of the chamber for purposes of fumigation/sterilization.
Silent Operation. The textile plenum, the structures of the electric motors of the fans fitted on their antivibration mounts and the software itself designed to provide optimum airhandling characteristics guarantee quiet operation of this silent safety cabinet, with sound-pressure levels recorded way below the parameters specified in the current EN:12469 European Standard for Microbiological Safety Cabinets.
Protection grid A protection grid made of AISI 304 stainless steel is provided inside the part behind the rear panel (where air flows), in order to avoid de-contamination costs would the tissue used during cleaning operations be sucked in the motor-blower causing the failure of the blower itself and/or of anemometer.

MAIN SPECIFICATIONS
|
|
Microprocessor control: AURA HZ is a horizontal laminar air flow cabinet, Class 100, for product protection from external contamination and cross-contamination inside the working chamber. The air speed is, for the highest product safety, permanently controlled via a microprocessor unit linked to an integral vane anemometer installed in the unit as a standard option.
Venturi-effect side walls: special tempered-glass side walls are installed inside the air flow, to prevent any leakage from the outside. Operating mode: the air flow, leaving the HEPA filter at a constant speed, produces an extremely clean - better than Class 100 - environment in the work area, preventing any contamination to enter from the ambient outside. High efficiency washable polyurethane prefilters remove coarse particles in advance of the air reaching the HEPA filter.
Cabinet outer surfaces made of cold-rolled steel, with paint finish. Stainless steel work surface. HEPA filter with 99,999% efficiency on 0,3 µ particles DOP tested Side walls in safety tempered glass.

Laminar Flow Cabinets - Vertical - Faster
|
SmartFAST laboratory cabinet ensures high containment reliability, providing a class ISO 3 working area highly protected from both air-born contaminants and no-hazordous micro-organisms .
Compact, economic and easy-to-place new concept of laminar flow cabinet, gives two working possibilities:
1.Overpressure system: part of the sterile air is exhausted through the front opening.
2.Depression system: part of the filtered air is exhausted, while air from outside is partially brought in through the front opening thus obtaining a protective barrier.
To exchange the two operational systems, it is sufficient to change the position of the closing plate on the top of the cabinet.
OPERATING PRINCIPLES
Configuration 1: OVERPRESSURE
The air stream flowing down in laminar air flow pattern from the HEPA filter passes through the perforated work surface. An air intake from the top side creates a slight positive pressure in the cabinet, which causes some of the air to be exhausted from the front aperture.
Configuration 2: DEPRESSION
The ambient air is drawn in through the slots of the stainless steel base at the front opening and it then passes under the work surface, from where it is drawn up and channeled after filtration through a HEPA filter in laminar air flow condition ( about 90% ) and exhausted outside ( about 10% ) from the upper side of the cabinet.
APPLICATIONS
SmartFAST has been specifically designed to meet specific requirements of biotechnology laboratories, molecular biology, electronics, pharmaceuticals and optical, primarily when handling cell cultures and no-hazardous biological agents, when it is necessary to ensure material protection.
Can be used in a wide range of disciplines, including:
• Microbiology
• Sterility tests
• Cell culture
• Sterile manipulations
• Molecular biology
• DNA work/thermal cycling/PCR
SPECIFICATIONS

Faster TWO 30 Vertical Laminar Flow Cabinet
FOREWORD
The TWO 30 laboratory cabinet ensures high containment reliability, providing a working area highly protected from both micro-organisms and air-born contaminants.
Compact, economic and easy-to-place new concept of laminar flow cabinet, gives two working possibilities:
1 Overpressure system
Part of the sterile air is exhausted through the front opening.
2 Depression system
Part of the filtered air is exhausted, while air from outside is partially brought in through the front opening thus obtaining a protective barrier.
To exchange the two operational systems, it is sufficient to change the position of the closing plate with the pre-filter and vice versa.
OPERATING PRINCIPLES
1 configuration: OVERPRESSURE
The air stream flowing down from the HEPA filter passes through the perforated work surface. An air intake from the side slot creates a slight positive pressure in the cabinet, which causes some of the air to exhaust from the front aperture.
2 configuration: DEPRESSION
The air flowing down from the HEPA filter passes through the perforated work surface. Air exhausted through a pre-filter placed on the upper surface of the cabinet provides a slight negative pressure in the cabinet, which causes a protective air barrier to develop at the working aperture, without affecting flow laminarity.
APPLICATIONS
TWO 30 has been specifically designed to meet specific requirements of electronics, pharmaceuticals, optical and biotechnology laboratories, primarily when handling cell cultures and no-hazardous biological agents, when it is necessary to ensure material protection.
Can be used in a wide range of disciplines, including:

LS90 Cabinet
Foreword
The LS 90 laboratory cabinet ensures high containment reliability, providing a Class 100 working area highly protected from both micro-organisms and air-born contaminants.
Compact, economic and easy-to-place new concept of laminar flow cabinet, gives two working possibilities:
1 -Overpressure system
Part of the sterile air is exhausted through the front opening.
2 -Depression system
Part of the filtered air is exhausted, while air from outside is partially brought in through the front opening thus obtaining a protective barrier.
To exchange the two operational systems, it is sufficient to change the position of the closing plate with the pre-filter and viceversa.
Applications
LS 90 has been specifically designed to meet specific requirements of electronics, pharmaceuticals, optical and biotechnology laboratories, primarily when handling cell cultures and no-hazardous biological agents, when it is necessary to ensure material protection. Can be used in a wide range of disciplines, including:

Faster Two-30
To exchange the two operational systems, it is sufficient to change the position of the closing plate with the pre-filter and viceversa.
Operating Principles
1. Configuration: Overpressure
The air stream flowing down from the HEPA filter passes through the perforated worksurface. An air intake from the side slot creates a slight positive pressure in the cabinet, which causes some of the air to exhaust from the front aperture.
2. Configuration: Depression
The air flowing down from the HEPA filter passes through the perforated worksurface.

VS Cabinet
FOREWARD
VS cabinets provide vertical laminar-flow. Most of the air is recirculated through the HEPA filter, with part being expelled into the environment through the exhaust outlet. VS cabinets operate under negative pressure after sterilisation through the HEPA filter and provide Class 100 air according to Federal Standard 209e. They therefore protect the product from micro-organisms and air borne contaminants. The balanced, perforated work surface and design of the working aperture provide an excellent flow laminarity at the work level.
