safety
MXB6, MXB14 and MXB22 litre baths have dual safety features, for overtemperature and low liquid level
Ultrasonic - ultra-efficient
Piezoelectric transducers emit continuous alternating pressure through the liquid in the bath. The waves of high and low pressure cause bubbles to form, to increase in size and then to collapse violently. This process, called cavitation, acts on any object placed in the bath.
The gentle scrubbing action provides consistently quick and thorough cleaning. Cavitation works wherever an object is in contact with the liquid, cleaning even the most intricate and fragile objects inside and out. Ultrasonic cleaning gives a high standard of cleanliness in a fraction of the time required by conventional cleaning methods. It is also safer than manual cleaning if there is any danger of contamination or infection.
Ultrasonic action is also used to de-gas liquids before use in chromatography, to prevent cavitation in high pressure pumps, and to modify reactions in sonochemistry, such as inducing rapid crystallisation of materials.
Grant Shaking Water Baths
Linear/orbital shaking bath
Unique shaking mechanism
Grant's unique shaking mechanism allows both orbital and linear shaking within one product for maximum flexibility of application: a wide range of shaking protocols can be evaluated and executed within a single unit
the shaking mechanism is robust and reliable, for long term, steady shaking

Vortexers - Grant
|
Ideally sized for personal use, the Grant-bio PV-1 vortex mixer is compact, with a low profile and small footprint, to sit in almost any location. The PV-1 is so small that it will fit in your hand – yet there is no compromise on performance. The reliable motor produces regulated and reproducible agitation throughout the speed range. It is also extremely quiet.
With variable speed from 750 to 3000 rpm, the PV-1 can be used for gentle through to vigorous mixing and pellet resuspension in 0.5ml, 1.5ml, and 15ml tubes.
• Adjustable speed control: 750 to 3000 rpm
• ‘Continuous’ or ‘touch’ operation
• For tubes up to 20 mm diameter.
Features
• Pressure sensitive cup accommodates tubes up to 20mm diameter
• Reliable and extremely quiet motor produces regulated and reproducible agitation throughout the speed range
• Extremely easy to operate – select either ‘continuous’ or ‘touch’ operation and turn the knob to adjust the speed from 750 rpm to 3000 rpm
• In ‘touch’ mode, agitation starts in response to pressure on the pressure sensitive cup.
• Exceptionally compact with a low profile and small footprint – fits into almost any location
• Rubber suction pads hold tight to the work surface and prevent the unit from ‘walking’ – they also absorb vibration and prevent its transmission to the workbench

3D platform rotator PS-3D
Ideally sized for personal use, the Grant-bio PS-3D platform rotator provides a smooth 3D orbital motion for mixing in tubes, culture flasks, dishes and boxes over the speed range 15 to 30 rpm.
The gentle movement is ideal for staining and destaining of gels without destroying the gel edges, or for keeping fragile tissue intact during incubations. The 3D motion provides very effective sample coverage, for efficient mixing with a reduced quantity of solution.
The PS-3D is small but highly functional, with a low profile and small footprint, fitting neatly into the smallest workspace. The reliable motor produces regulated and reproducible rotating throughout the speed range and, combined with the sturdy construction, will guarantee years of consistent operation. It is also extremely quiet.
Suitable for mixing applications in many different fields, with specific applications including: gel staining and destaining, antibody staining, washes, hybridisations, immuno precipitations, Southern blots, western blots, in situs.
•The gentle movement is ideal for staining gels without destroying the gel edges, or for keeping fragile tissue intact during incubations.
•Smooth, reliable, extremely quiet motor; low power consumption
