Water purifier Purite Neptune Life Science - produces up to 2 litres per minute of ultrapure 18.2 MO water
The Select Neptune water purification system has been developed to produce a high flow of guaranteed ultrapure water to 18.2MO.cm for use in analytical and life science laboratory applications.
Three models are available in the range: Analytical, which features a low TOC specification; Life Science, offering low bacteria and endotoxin specification; and Ultimate, which combines the benefits of both the Analytical and Life Science models. Each of the units requires a feedwater source of <20µS/cm, is capable of producing between 1.5 and 2 litres of ion-free purified water per minute and includes TOC monitoring as standard, with indication to <1ppb, <5ppb and <10ppb.
The Select Neptune range utilises a number of proven technologies to produce ion-free water. These include:
• Ion exchange cartridges with monospherical semi-conductor grade mixed bed deionising resin are used in all units to produce ultrapure water with extremely low TOC.
• Filtration of either 0.2 or 0.05µm is used in all units to remove particles, bacteria and endotoxins.
• Ultraviolet at 185nm, or photo-oxidising UV, is used in the Analytical and Ultimate models to cleave organic compounds into smaller charged ionic species that are removed using ion exchange.
• Ultraviolet at 254nm is germicidal and can be used to achieve a bacteria reduction better than 99%.
All Neptune units feature data logging and intelligent monitoring systems, ensuring each unit enters stand-by mode when it is not being used, re-circulating purified water at intermittent intervals to maximise efficiency and maintain quality when the system is off-line. Automated cleaning routines, and alarms for cartridge, UV and filter change are also fitted as standard.
