World Class Solutions in Cryogenic Gases Transportation.
Statebourne builds Cryo-Tanks for any transport application up to 10,000 litres capacity. Designs for chassis mounting, or for fork-liftable loading are constructed in our factory fully approved, inspected, tested and certificated to suit customer’s operational requirements. Where specified, Cryo-Tanks can be mounted in ISO frames to meet special regulations – e.g. Offshore operations.
Our policy has always been to design and build tanks “for life” and we can say that of the many hundreds built in the course of the company’s history, none have failed or been the cause of a safety issue because of the design standard, materials used or construction standards. Indeed, several have survived traffic accidents when the vehicle has not. Better dependability is not available worldwide.

Statebourne Cryogenics has built over 10,000 cryogenic pressure vessels in the past 30 years with many hundreds installed in the range 1000 to 22000 litres capacity.
Cryo Tanks for liquid Oxygen, Argon, Nitrogen and Carbon Dioxide (for Liquid Helium see separate page) with operating pressures as high as 34bar have been supplied to most Industrial Gas Companies worldwide.
Our current range of all stainless steel ‘CRYOCYL’ tanks with built in vapourisor and capable of generating 25m3/hour provides an unmatched package of benefits in cryogenic liquid gas storage.
For refrigeration applications, where customers require the withdrawal of liquid nitrogen tanks are designed to operate at low pressures.
All Cryo Tank and Cryocyl units are always supplied with full over-pressure safety protection, instrumentation, control valves and pipework. Certification is provided giving full traceability for design, materials, manufacture and proof pressure testing. All tanks are delivered in a ‘ready to fill and use’ state.

The Helistor series of liquid helium dewars combine the very latest in design with reliability, security and performance.
The latest design technologies give optimum performance combined with strength and durability which allows the range
to be used in applications from international transport to static experiment.
All models are fitted with a full safety head with all components being in brass or stainless steel to ensure that corrosion need never be an issue and a range of available siphon entry points is also available with special sizes also where required.
A wide range of options are available including Super insulated vacuum lines, a permanent siphon, anti-magnetic design and a vast array of safety head options. The Biotrek 3 and 10 Dewars are for shipping samples in ultra cold conditions without the dangers of releasing liquid nitrogen during transit.
Internally both Biotreks contain a special cryo-absorbant material which locks in liquid nitrogen to ensure that although any samples held are not immersed in liquid nitrogen they are close as possible to liquid nitrogen storage tempratures.
A wide range of Biological specimens may be held in the Biotrek 3 while the Biotrek 10 can also accommodate blood stem cell bags because of the extra wide neck and internal configuration.

All Biosystems bulk LN2 refrigerators are designed to provide the user with a fully automated, safe and reliable cryostorage system
Manufactured from high quality stainless steel, Biosystem models are castor mounted with a lockable, hinged lid. Large neck opening gives easy unrestricted access to samples. Storage of biological material can be carried out in either liquid phase at - 196 C or under vapour phase conditions as low as - 190 C.
A choice from eight base models in the range provides storage for up to 67,600 vials in one refrigerator. Safe, automated storage is provided with the security of having the system run and monitored by an integrated microprocessor based controller. Key pad touch control allows for easy set-up and continuous monitoring to provide complete security for your biological material.
The Biosystem microprocessor based controller provides the user with the ultimate in sample security and container reliability.GLP traceability iinformation is provided through accurate data logging facility.

The Biosystem 12, 24 and 50 models are designed to provide frequent-access users with rapid specimen storage and retrieval. Full control and security backup is provided by a class-leading microprocessor controlled-system.
State-of-the art construction allied with the very latest in superinsulation techniques ensure that the Biosystem Access Series offer a unique combination of security and economy along with excellent isothermal properties.
Every Biosystem Access-Series container can be configured for either liquid (-196°C), or vapourphase storage. In vapour-phase operation, our design-flexibility is such that units can be configured to store at temperatures from - 150°C to as low as -190°C. Every Biosystem Access-Series unit is backed by our comprehensive 5 Year Vacuum Warranty and further compliance with the EC Medical Devices Directive 93/42/EC.

The tested logic of Statebourne’s Microprocessor controller has been incorporated in to the proven Biosystem Access Series refrigerators with sample security as the most important priority. Statebourne Engineers continuously monitor performance of all components and every unit is rigorously tested in service conditions in our factory before shipment.
BIOSYSTEM Access 12 - The smallest fully automatic liquid nitrogen refrigerator in this series, with a capacity for the storage of 10250 2ml ampoules in the vapour phase or 12300 in the liquid phase. This model provides storage of samples for the smallest laboratory with maximum security.
BIOSYSTEM Access 24 - The mid-range model providing storage for 20350 2ml ampoules in the vapour phase or 24050 in the liquid phase, this model provides more economic floor space utilisation with rapid accessibility and maximum security.

Biostor traditional refrigerators provide a low cost alternative to the Biosytem Series.
The Biostor 12 and 24 are supplied with built in liquid nitrogen fill and level sensor tubes to allow the addition of an "Auto-fill Kit" using a suitable Cryostor as a reservoir. Level sensors can be set to control liquid levels giving either liquid or vapour phase storage and temperatures as low as -185C can be achieved at warmest point of sample storage.
