Introduction
The Optica Plate Reader can be operated using either the on board software via it’s membrane key panel or through a PC. Results can be printed utilising a dot-matrix printer connected directly to Optica’s printer port or to any printer which is connected to the PC. The Optica software lets you run up to 10 different assays per session with plates containing up to 12 standards and 12 controls. Assays can be configured and saved on the hard disc – ready for future use. The software enables the processing of a qualitative – or a quantitative assay with qualitative interpretation which is visualised in a graph. Individual data cards can be generated for each patient and all test results can be saved or printed out.

New Halo 96 LED microplate reader from Dynamica has been added. The Halo LED 96 is a computer controlled microplate reader for 96 well plates. Easy and safe operation take away the hassle from your daily microplate reading jobs. It is based on the most modern LED technology, no need to worry about lamp replacements anymore. 

Features and benefits
- Instead of lamps and filters, Halo LED 96 is fitted with up to 6 intelligent, wavelength specific LED-plugins (patent pending). Each plugin contains it‘s own digital ID, LED-light source, filter and lenses in one easily exchangeable component.
- In times like these, low power consumption must be a key issue with any electrical devices. With a maximum consumption of 12W during reading and a standby consumption of not more than 2W, Halo LED 96 again is setting new standards.

4 Microplate Readers Tips in Line with Sustainability

1. Ensure air cooling fans and photo optics are free of dust but keeping away from air / ventilation ducts

2. Periodically remove from the bench and clean underneath the machine in order to remove any dust that could be sucked into the unit

3. Prevent photo optics over heating by making sure the cooling vents are not obstructed
